embodied music exploration with Miette
I come from a background of playing music when I was younger, never amazing, but it has always been a source of joy. Particularly playing in music/drum circles. I’ve really missed this since living in London - the connection and joy that comes sitting with people creating something collaborative. In training and workshops I’ve explored throat freeing/using sound to release and sense into embodiment, as this is something that I definitely struggle with and as a society we generally hold back so much in this area which can be a source of great tension/blockage - holding back from noises we want to make in fear of sounding silly or holding back thoughts and feelings. The idea for this workshop came after an embodiment workshop that focussed on the elements, looking at earth, water, air, fire and ether to connect inwards and notice imbalances/expressions of these. I thought about how amazing it would be to tap into this sense of embodiment through the elements... through sound, using our own bodies/vocals but also with a small selection of simple/percussive instruments.
Journaling with Lucie
What makes you feel whole? What helps you embody your truest, best version of yourself? In this workshop, we will embark on a transformative journey, using a powerful visualisation exercise to connect with our highest potential. With the help of guided journaling prompts, we will bring our visions to life on paper; and through exploring different journaling tools designed to support personal growth, we will transform inspiration into tangible growth and make our vision a reality.
Tea Mediation
A Sunrise tea ceremony offers a chance to appreciate the sacred hours. Through tea we appreciate the elements, earth, water, fire, air & space. Sitting with tea we are invited to open to our inner experiences of emptiness, fullness & simplicity, & enjoy the healing & nourishing qualities of the tea itself.
Mountain Village & Beach Excursion
A trip to a one of the stunning local beaches with a visit to mountain village. This may include the chance to do some souvenir shopping, a meze lunch or coffee at the beautiful village square.

"Seva - Selfless Service" is a hands on activity where we give back to our surroundings. This is a chance to do some fun and meaningful work in the gardens for Pelion homes. We will have a short tour of the gardens and hear about how the retreat centre runs and the food grown.

Her music practice started from a young age, exploring a range of expressions from percussion and hand drums to classical guitar. She feels the importance of music in giving us the ability to release tension through our vocal area and connecting to others through joy. In facilitating music she combines instrumental, vocal and body techniques to explore the power of play, vocal release and accessing embodiment through sound. Words from retreaters
*****
“Sjaan's retreat was the most magical trip I have ever been on. From the cosy sanctuary we called home to waking each morning to breathtaking mountain views, everything felt like a dream. The food, fresh from the farm, nourished both body and soul, while each yoga and creative workshop opened new doors for me. Every session was thoughtfully crafted and led, leaving me feeling more refreshed than I ever thought possible. I learnt so much not only about yoga, but also about channelling creativity and myself, surrounded by the most inspiring women. I'm already planning my return to one of Siaan's retreats next year!!”
“Also a big message that the retreat reminded me of is how held I am! To have everything I needed (and so much more!) provided for me and the most incredible group all sharing the space, facilitating for each other, and Sjaan you being an amazing guide and fellow human. I have made such strong foundations in my personal wellbeing practice which I have taken home with me”
