I would like your practice to leave you feeling spacious, joyous, peaceful and connected. I try to keep my classes fun, playful and light. Yet You will have the opportunity to work deeply as you are guided through a meditative practice.
My love for contemporary dance informs my other movement practices and facilitation methods. Classes are creative, fluid and suggest alternative ways of moving, tapping into our bodies natural strength and intelligence.I encourage curiosity and active inquiry. Motivating you to find your own path. Aiming to create an environment that is inclusive and nurturing.
Breath is at the heart of every class I teach, guiding our movement and helping to open up our bodies. Our breath, physical bodies, emotions and mental clarity are connected and constantly informing one another. Through awareness and love we can find more ease and acceptance for all these aspects of ourselves.
Your practice can be a journey to uncover a strength already present. In rediscovering the body's innate intelligence and natural alignment, you will understand how to move organically into more challenging postures.
Working in this gentle way heightens awareness and releases tension, opening up space between the joints. The result is an optimised energy and freedom that streams through the pathways of the body. By calming the nervous system, you will feel energised and connected. I believes that by tapping into this deep relaxed state we open up to creativity.
